Ringed Plovers at Long Rock Beach, Cornwall

These first year and adult Ringed Plovers were among 200 or so on Long Rock and Marazion Beach yesterday morning at first light.  I had it in mind that there could be a scarce wader or even a yank vagrant to be found, but no such luck.  To date, there has only been one reported American wader so far this autumn and that was a Pectoral Sandpiper at Maer Lake.  Anyway, these Ring's posed nicely.

  1. Such pretty little birds. Excellent shots!

  2. Superb shots, I remember your Kentish you found on Longrock around this time of year a couple of Autumns ago.

  3. Great set Steve
Sign of things to come hopefully,I like the last pic best.
